With deep roots in the earthmoving and equipment hire industry, Ruakuri Contracting—founded by Warren Holden—has grown from a small local operation into a trusted name across the region. Known for its reliable machinery, expert service, and commitment to clients, the company continues to serve the wider Waikato area with pride and professionalism.

Warren has spent most of his career in the quarry and mining sectors, working on everything from small extraction sites to large-scale mining operations. Developing an eye for machinery performance and site efficiency. His expertise shaped the foundation of Ruakuri Contracting. His hands-on experience ensures that every machine in our fleet is chosen and maintained to meet the tough demands of high-production environments.

Today, that legacy continues under the Management of AJ Holden , who's hard work and dedication has been vital to the Contracting company's growth. AJ spent many years working alongside his father in the business, steadily taking over more responsibility and contributing to the ongoing success of Ruakuri Contracting. After his own time in the quarry and mining sectors, he is now serving as co-owner of Holden Heavy Hire. 

With a genuine commitment, to maintaining the values that built Ruakuri Contracting and now Holden Heavy Hire. Our vision for the future is ensuring our fleet continues to be is ready for both heavy industrial and civil site work.
